WordTeasers & Homefree Treats Party

We were able to celebrate the beginning of the nice weather with a small get together!

We went out for ice cream and then some garden shopping before heading home for some cookies and word games!

 

Everyone was pretty excited that they all got to take home their own copy of the word games! Our favorite were the riddles, some we just couldn't figure out! They're the perfect on-the-go game, or when you just need to sit for a few minutes. You can do as many cards as you want! With all the different categories, there's definitely something for everybody!

The cookies were also DELICIOUS! Free from all common allergens, everybody could share all the flavors! We tried one of each together, and the consensus was double chocolate chip as the favorite!

BOS End of Summer party!

We threw an End of the Summer party just the other weekend, and had a blast! There were 7 of us all together (plus 4 dogs!). We tested out BOS (Best Odor Seal) products - with odor blocking technology! BOS is a company out of Japan developed plastic odor-blocking bags. They've got diaper bags, food waste bags, dog waste bags, and cat waste bags! We tried 2 of them at the party. 

First we tested the food waste bags after having a filling meal of burgers, brats, and hot dogs on the grill! We put all of our leftovers (plus some stinky old food from my fridge!) inside and sealed up the bags, then set them aside in the sun. We started a tiny bonfire and had dog waste bags at the ready - with 4 dogs you know we'll need them! Everyone was impressed with how well they kept the odor at bay!

Once it was dark we grabbed our food waste bags and put them to the test - there truly wasn't any smell around them! SUPER impressed by the strength of these teeny bags! We didn't test out the cat or diaper disposal bags at the party - but I did give everybody a goodie bag with 2 of each! Absolutely LOVED them!

Wiley Wallaby Party

Can I tell you how excited I was for this most recent party?! We got to try out Wiley Wallaby Licorice and I’m in love!!

We were sent SO many different flavors that it was hard to chose a favorite! Each licorice comes in bite size pieces, which make them perfect to snack on!

As stereotypical as it sounds, I personally preferred the Classic Red flavor! The Sourrageous Bites may be a close second though - unique and delicious!

As for everyone else, the two top favorites were Watermelon and Blasted Berry! We actually all enjoyed trying all of them, it made our weekend get-together extra special! Everyone took home a bag of their personal favorites!

Now that I’ve tried them, I’ve actually seen them in stores, which I haven’t in the past! I found them at my local Joann’s!

Truly Cheese Party

This was a busy weekend with parties! Between yesterday's virtual party, and a tiny family-party today, I'm all partied out!

Today's party was through Tryazon again, but this time it was for Truly! Truly makes delicious butter and cheddar cheeses, and we tried all four of their products! Because of COVID, I only had family that have been in my pod over my place, knowing that we have only been seeing one another. Though they only live a few towns over, they visit about once a month!

Our party pack was amazing! We received tote bags, metal star cookie cutters, an insulated travel mug, and tons of coupons! I used two of the free butter coupons and two of the free cheese coupons to prep for our mini get-together and put the remaining ones into random swag bags! (Everyone got at least one bag, 2 cookie cutters, and coupons!)

 

Truly's cheddar cheese is SO good! We were lucky enough to find both the Aged and the Sharp Cheddar (at different Stop and Shops, of course), but they're both delicious! I personally preferred the sharp cheddar, but they went equally fast!

 

The butter was tasty! It's definitely something I'd use to bake with instead of with bread (which is how we sampled it), but it's still good! Definitely something I'd try again, and the price isn't as high as I excpected it to be at our local BigY! We prefer using unsalted butter to bake and cook with, but the salted butter also tasted great on the fresh bread we grabbed this morning!

Silk'n Hair Removal

The device itself is actually super simple to use! It plugs in and is immediately ready for use. You pick the intensity level and are good to go! Just make sure to shave first, and do small bits at a time until you're used to the sensation and know that your skin will not have a reaction. I tested a small patch on my ankle the first day, and a few days later moved on. 

 

Doing this at home has been so wonderful! Because I know my own comfort level, I am able to do as much or as little as I want in a session, without having to pay extra!

Quaker Overnight Oats VoxBox

I'm so excited! I was recently accepted into a campaign through Influenster to try out Quaker's new Overnight Oats! I was able to try them out for free in exchange for my review of them!

My first impression was that the cups are pretty small! I got two flavors to test out - Blueberry Banana & Vanilla Bliss and Toasted Coconut & Almond Crunch. I was super excited because they both sounded delicious!

I'm so mad at myself for forgetting to take pictures of the actual oatmeal after I made it! It's super easy to do, and takes about 30 seconds! You simply fill with water, milk, or yogurt to the fill line, then put in the fridge overnight! Then voila - perfect, easy breakfast the next morning! Both flavors were pretty tasty, but I think I prefer the Blueberry Banana & Vanilla Bliss! 

Continuous Journey Duvet Cover

I was recently able to review this full/queen duvet cover set! This set comes with a full/queen duvet cover with buttons on the bottom to close, and two pillowcases.

My first impression is that this is very high quality! The fabric is soft to the touch, but thick as well! The design on the fabric is raised, so I had a few concerns about the pillowcases.

 

After finagling with the cover itself, I finally got my comforter inside! The buttons on the underside are very easy to use, and it has a big opening for inserting your comforter! It's a bit large for a full-size comforter, but still fits pretty nicely. The fabric is suuuper soft! Definitely in for a cozy night sleep under this! 

The pillowcases are also very nice, but because of the raised pattern, they were not as comfortable to sleep on. I ended up not using them after the first night, as I couldn't get comfortable on them. I think these are more decorative to match the cover, rather than practical. 

My cat slept on top for at least 3 hours after putting it on my bed - so it definitely has her seal of approval as well as mine!
